Husband and wife folk team from Kelowna prepare for release of first full length album

Farmer Band3“Farmer” have just finished up studio work on their first full length album. The process began in the fall of 2015 with intention of recording a few songs as an E.P. however after a short time in the studio with comfort levels growing and creative juices flowing  the duo wanted to step it up to 10 songs. Both being multi instrumentalists with the help of a session trumpet player and drummer a very divers and enveloping album was created with help of local engineer/producer Zach Pentyliuk. This Release is defiantly worth checking out which you can do for free on their website but! as always if you enjoy it make sure to support the artists hard work and creativity. Young Jazz ensemble showcases their masterful grasp of music with a rendition of a radio smash hit

4 Local Young musicians packed gear into the live room of Empire Sonic Recording Studio as well as their videographer Simon Huculiak. The groups intention was to bang out a version of the popular drake song Hotline Bling, as arranged by Bjorn Kriel a jazz keyboard prodigy. Prodigy being a word you could easily use for any of the team involved. which include; bassist Neil Graham who plucked away at Empire Sonics in house 5 sting Warwick fretless bass, Zach Griffin playing the vocal melody as well as an impressive solo on the Alto Saxophone, Kobe Anderson hammering away on Empire Sonics Custom Built Kit supplied by Dead Dog Drums. Kobe also Mixed and mastered the final version of the song. We look forward to all the things to come out of this talented group!

Mithra is exploding on the scene with a new genre of music that is sure to enlighten your soul. Empire Sound and Mithra have teamed up to provide unsuspecting music lovers with a new album, ‘Mystic Mithralia’ due out summer of 2016. The recording project was started in November or last year and tracks are being laid down until June. A host of talented musicians have helped the band create something magical.
